Bad Dudes
The President — KIDNAPPED?! But the really bad news is that the Dragon Ninja is responsible - and you along can rescue the President from his clutches. The Dragon Ninja has a helicopter waiting to spirit the President away. If he makes his getaway before you can stop him, the world will never see the President again. The Dragon Ninja will be ready for you. You can expect to face — at the very least — wave after wave of ninja henchmen, samurai, and super warriors as you make your way through city and forest, atop moving big rigs and freight trains. Remember — the nation is counting on you!
What really sets this game apart from most Beat 'em Ups is the ability to jump between the top and bottom platforms found throughout each stage. Switching between these positions allows you to attack and evade enemies entering the area, and for them to do the same to you. There is a solid variety in enemies whose special abilities will keep you on your toes. Enemies are much weaker than in most games in this genre - often being defeated in a single hit. This makes the game very fast paced, even allowing you to simply run through the area without having to clear the screen to proceed.
A major drawback of the NES version is the removal of the 2 player cooperative mode found in the arcade original, offering only alternating play.
